Ingredients:
- 1 pound of bacon
- 1/2 cup of maple syrup
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
How to make Candied Bacon Recipe:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Place bacon on a rack on a lined cookie sheet. I line mine with foil for easy clean up.
- In a small bowl mix the maple syrup and brown sugar. If it is too thick you can add more maple syrup or microwave for a few seconds until it is runnier.
- Brush a thin layer on each bacon strip.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven. Flip over and brush with remaining mixture. (Sometimes I’m just lazy and I a sprinkle brown sugar on top.)
- Bake for another 15 minutes or until the bacon is crisp.
- Allow it to cool for a few minutes and then enjoy!
