Pomegranate Ginger Paloma.


Ingredients

  • Minted Ginger Syrup
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, sliced
  • 8 fresh mint leaves
  • Paloma
  • kosher salt, for rim
  • 1/4 cup grapefruit juice (about half a grapefruit)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2-4 tablespoons ginger syrup (or to taste)
  • 2 ounces silver
tequila (or to your liking)
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate juice
  • ginger beer, for topping (or sparkling water)
  • pomegranate arils and candied mint, for garnish (optional)

  • Instructions

    Ginger Syrup
    Combine 1/2 cup water, the honey, ginger, and mint in a small saucepan and bring to a low boil, simmer 1 minute and remove from the heat. Cover and steep for 5-10 minutes. Strain and let the syrup cool. Store in the fridge.
    !For the Drink
    Rim your glass with a lime and dip in salt. Fill the glass halfway with ice. Add the grapefruit juice, lime juice, 2-4 tablespoons ginger syrup (to taste), tequila, and pomegranate juice and gently stir. Top with ginger beer. Drink
